I have a postdoc position open in my lab salomanlab.pitt.edu. We are interested in understanding the biology of pain conditions and neuropathies as well discovery/validation of biomarkers. My lab uses a variety of in vitro and in vivo approaches including anatomy, molecular biology, behavior, imaging, omics, optogenetics, and flow cytometry. We have active basic and translational research projects focused on pancreas function, visceral pain, cancer pain, and tumorigenesis. We have ongoing collaborations with neuroscientists as well as epidemiologists, geneticists, immunologists, statisticians, bioinformaticians, oncologists, surgeons, and gastroenterologists.
Our team can benefit from individuals with varied areas of expertise, such as neuroscience, tumor immunology, cell biology, and pancreatology. We welcome curious and motivated researchers from all backgrounds and identities to join the team.
Interested parties should send me a message at jls354@pitt.edu.
