The position is supported by NIH school and departmental funding to study neurobiological mechanism of integrative medicine in clinical pain populations. Wang Lab research focuses on clinical and translational pain research using multidisciplinary approaches including basic biomedical bench techniques and clinical neuroimaging tools in animal models and human subjects, respectively. (Ongoing trial: https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT05045820).

The applicant will be working in a collaborative environment of a strong research environment on campus and will have opportunities to work on wide-spectrum basic and translational pain and neuroimaging research projects using biomedical (e.g. fluorescence imaging, molecular biology, cell culture, immunohistochemical assays, circuit manipulations, mouse surgery or behavioral assays), as well as neuroimaging techniques (e.g. fMRI, EEG) in human subjects.
